If you want to catch fish that are big, and I mean, really big - this is for you. These fish fight very hard and can even weigh more than you! We fish for Sturgeon from Astoria, Oregon all the way into the Columbia River Gorge. Sturgeon fisheries have short seasons for retention, which are usually May- June, down towards the coast and then in January above Bonneville Dam. We also run catch and release trips during the rest of the year, when retention is not allowed, and you can fight these fish until your arms fall off!  

 

We catch these fish with a variety of baits such as sand shrimp, anchovies, and smelt.  Sturgeon have a firm white meat and make the best fish and chips you’ve ever tried.
